United States · Fiber optic sensors and encoders, electromechanical position sensors
Micronor Sensors is a US maker of fiber optic sensing and position measurement products for hostile environments — high electromagnetic interference, high voltage, explosive atmospheres and MRI suites. Two main families: fiber optic products covering absolute and incremental rotary and linear encoders, position sensors, GaAs temperature probes and FOTEMP sensing systems, multi-axis accelerometers, fiber optic emergency stops and microswitches, encoder extenders and miniature force sensors; and electromechanical products including rotary and linear limit switches, cam timers, motorized potentiometers, manual pulse generators, pendants and geared position transducers.
We carry the Micronor fiber optic sensor and encoder range and match channel count, resolution, travel, fiber length and output interface to the application. Common models are partly stocked; less frequent configurations are sourced through the manufacturer and established distribution channels with documentation. All units are original and new.
Below are commonly requested parts. Unlisted numbers can also be quoted — just ask.
Fiber optic sensing separates the transducer from the electronics, so it is intrinsically safe and immune to electromagnetic interference — suited to MRI suites, nuclear facilities, high-voltage transformers, explosive atmospheres and areas near drives where conventional signals struggle.
Choose a fiber optic encoder when you need EMI immunity, long cable runs or MRI compatibility; in ordinary environments a standard incremental or absolute encoder is enough. We match resolution, travel, fiber length and output interface to a model.
Yes. We buy through the manufacturer and established distribution channels and can supply the matching paperwork; all units are original and new.
